For this blog we have to choose 3 PSA's that have impacted us. Truthfully not many or none at all impacted me. They all show their own significance with their own types of problems humans cause. Emma's PSA about deforestation is interesting. Humanity is at fault for many problems with deforestation. But with growing populations around the world, mass quantities of items that are needed for human survival and growth are in jeopardy. I do not think entirely humanity will stop deforestation. As long as there's a company in need of a way to get money or a country relying on paper because they do not have proper electronics like computers trees will still be cut down. Then Jeff's PSA about wind energy got my attention. Today not much is put into consideration to replace our debt in finding fossil fuel. Wind energy is one of the energy's that is a good start but down the road using it for a long time will create more of a problem that it will give as a solution. Installing huge turbines itself can create massive problems to local people living around them. First off property values drop. Not because of the "look" of the turbines but because of Wind Turbine Syndrome. Many people living within 2 km (1.25 miles) of these spinning giants get sick. So sick that they often abandon (as in, lock the door and leave) their homes. Nobody wants to buy their acoustically toxic homes. It only produces 5% or less of Americas power. Then there's electric cars. To sum it up just read the bottom. Electric Cars are often marketed as having “zero green house gas emissions”. This is rather slanted because of course generating the electricty that the car consumes is most likely going to generate some greenhouse gases. Particularly in Australia most of our electrical energy comes from coal it is just like saying “I don’t kill animals, but I buy meat”.

What I thought

I didn't really discover anything through this project other than the fact that humanity destroys more on this than we create. My family barely lives green and wont. We will turn faucets off when they don't need to be on and same with lights we don't litter and thats just about it. It didn't affect me directly at all. Sure I'll pick up trash because that's just plain stupid and irresponsible not to, but nonetheless I don't think this project touched me at all. We don't need to live green to save a planet. We just need to know what we are fully doing to this planet and what else is also in the process when it's happening.  This project didn't change me or my family nor the fact that I  didn't like the project.

Environment for the me Jew or Palestinian

Living in an environment with your enemy 10 to 20 miles away from you would be a bit scary, intimidating and annoying. These kids are "manipulated" or grown up with this religion stating what the Palestinians or the Jew's are to them. From birth to death the population of Jews dislike the Palestinians for the problems with land issues. Both think the land belong to them and they both have "Proof" that shows it. I think one other their religions had a "misread" spot in their bible. Growing up in a situation like this is way different than what I live in. I do not have worry about our town getting raided by Delafield radicals or hate the Oconomowocians with a burning passion. They have to grow up and deal with their own Religion and the problems of what they stand for. In the movie both sides completely hated each other for the same reason. Nothing would or could change it. If I lived there and grew up there I probably would be the exact same. All because of what the elder and the Religion teach's. I'm not a very religious person but I do stand for what I believe. I believe that this whole movie and what it has showed has caught my attention on how Religion can be such a powerful thing. It puts lives on the line, wars, food, everything all the sake of what a populations Religion is.

poem thing

They respect the earth as if it was a god. They think the earth is the biggest gift that their gods could give them. The respect every little amount the used for their survival. My family cares about the environment but in the view of a native american we do not really preserve or try to.

Green

I could pick up trash when I find it. It would benefit the community to not only the environment. I have no idea how it works but i can create a huge compost for the community if it works. I'm sure they used some sort of movie maker. It wouldnt be hard to create something like that. Maybe a little time to explore the program they used.

My family really doesn't save much for the environment. We do if you count turning off faucet and turning off lights when no ones in the room. I guess it saves money and saves energy.

lets see how far ive come..

not far. Got my quote and my projects ill show. I'm planning on a prezi to do the talking for me. Very simple and very easy, at least to me. Add one or two songs that can give off an emotion. Few pictures little background and that's it. I have my 4 projects that I will show, I have one more than I should have for my academy class. They are:

Billie Joe Armstrong portrait
21st century skills/job
My sushi plate
Romeo and Juliet story remake (hopefully finished)

My quote is very good. It makes you think of you really want to analyze what it means. Not just a quote that seems like it is putting down school, rather pointing out irony in words that people speak. So in all I haven't started crap. But it will all be done.

“School is practice for future life, practice makes perfect and nobodys perfect, so why practice?”-Billie Joe Armstrong

Blog thing for the week

look down at last post for the sergey something

Sergey Babikov

my names Sergey Babikov. I was born in 1967 in a town called Murghab. Small and highly poor. My mother and father were hitmen (and lady). So I was usually on my own. I lived in a nieghborhood full of murder and drugs so we always (mainly me because i was alone) had to be protected. So every once and a while my mom or dad would come home with a BB gun to let me practice with if anyone would come in and say "steal" something of ours.

One day they came home with an actual gun this time. Said "Son you've shot just about every BB that a store carried i think its time you try this" and my dad hands me a 45. Cal Pistol. I practiced with it every day until i ran out of bullets.

Eventually i dropped out of High school just to get a job and afford some more bullets. Since the Authority in town was also not the greatest i thought "why not become the authority". My aim was the best in town and i knew how to reload just about every weapon that came into town. For 30 years I was Chief of Police. I swept a lot of crime out of the town (Sadly enough one of the crimes was putting my own parents in jail for murder). After that i resigned. I never wanted to hold a gun again since the last time i did it was pointed at my mother and father. 2 years later After a Drunk depression with nothing to do I started getting trigger happy again. I thought if I wont point a gun at someone for Justice, what about pointing it at a target for a trophy? I tried going into the Olympics and soon enough i started pulling in with the ranks.

GO ANIMATE XD

it was a pretty fun program to use. If you are creative and you know what you are doing it can be pretty fun. Unless you want to get right to the point and have a bunch of stick figures boring the crap out of you. Only problem is that you are very limited with what you can use. We even had a limit on what we can type out. Its fun and it would be very useful to create something entertaining and fun.

Xiachun japenese guy

Honestly if i had the choice to either stay with my father or go and pursue a life with music and creating it. I would probably choose the Music choice. Me and the Japenese kids lives are also a little different; since my goal in life really is to achieve what the Xiaochun person has the ability of doing no matter what I would choose to go and live my dream. My dad would probably understand. My dad had a chance like this. He was an and still is an amazing artist; but my grandpa told him he wasn't going to support a family off of it and pretty much killed every dream my dad had. He became a machinist with my grandpa and washed out factory on its leg. My dad will always regret it and tells me to pursue what I want. He lost his chance the day he gave into his dad. He wont let that mistake happen to me. But for Xiaochun he has the choice to leave and go back with his suppose dad (foster dad to be exact)or stay and become a famous musician. The pros and cons to my decision would be pretty harsh to me. First off no matter what leaving your family to become what you have always wanted to be is as hard as watching your kid go to college or get married. It will be hard either way since that day will come either way but I have always wanted to do something by myself; and leaving to become what you dreamed of and having to do it on your own seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity to me. In all I would love to have the choice the kid had. Even if it means leaving your family I would come back and see them. But nothing will stop me from being what I have always desired.

blog fingy

Every time We get a project that you can free roam and do what you want, I use just about all the effort i got into turning it into an amazing project. Thats the biggest reason why academy is my favorite. I can express the project or myself through the way I want to do it. It sucks enough on the fact that we don't get next year. The ways we have been taught are different and are very enjoyable to me, and to get swapped into a class were you have not even half as many ideas or decisions you can get in academy. What we have been taught is different. Like this semester; I am in intro to ceramics and the teacher assumes we know this stuff about clay because of Art survey. Only problem: Art Survey didn't teach me much about Clay or terms. What we learn in the academy is focused for the academy. Same with science. Eric said what he is learning in science is way different from what was in academy's science. So without dropping kids from the academy and leaving them to other classes with things they haven't even learned is probably the dumbest idea I've heard this year. It would be beneficial to the kids in it already and the kids who wanted to take it this year but must wait next year (doesn't matter since next years sophomores wont get it)

Weekly blog

Last week was pretty simple. We learned about Shakespear and paper airplanes. The airplanes were part of the fact that Shakespear took place around when Leonardo Devinchi was creating art/inventions. I took first place in distance with my model. That week we also analyzed poems Shakespear wrote. The reason why we are doing all of this is because of the famous story of Romeo and Juliet that we are learning about.

this weeks blog

tommorow we have to have our presentations ready and i have a feeling mines going to suck. I have the best connections i can get. There really isnt much to blog about other than how the project is going to go. I am aiming for an A which is pretty high in my point of view

last week

Took my a heck of a long time to find some music that would suit the presentation. I finished the project but it seems like its lacking something that is key to it

weekly blog

Assignment thingy that has a lot to it. I have almost no clue what to do other than to follow what Miss Miller said. Still a really good place to start. The fact about your actions and how you can never redo them is a very good way to connect all the things we have learned since school started. (sorry about the last few posts i havent done btw
