Water vs Soda

What i learned from this was really pointless. I mean sure it is bad for kids to drink soda but its the kids choice. Don't make a huge deal out of it. I may have learned that soda is somewhat acidic because it can dissolve a T-Bone but that is it. If the AMA had a different perspective like the water leaving the facility were it is purified. This was sort of off topic. Everyone told me that our group repeated soooo much! Thats cause the information was sooo scarce it wasnt even funny!

This weeks blog

Ok so it is 2 days until the water presentation thingy. I know for a fact we are not ready. Sure we got the project done. But talking in front of high up people in schools or districts when you have almost no clue what your talking about is what is worrying me. We are trying to convince kids to drink more water. Easy enough, but from what everyone else is saying it sounds like there is more. Yet the small paragraph we got only said we are trying to convince kids to drink more water. The "Tapped" movie was interesting. It has me a little skeptic about bottles. At the same time though, we are trying to get kids to drink bottled water. We could be either providing a positive reinforcement for the kids. Or a negative one by endangering their health with some sort of chemical in the bottle. Hopefully on Tuesday Drew, River and I can keep talking long enough to meet the standards.

Last weeks blog

Putting in an outline is somewhat irritating. I know what to do in a project like this its very easy. But at the same time its just a precaution so you know what your doing. Also, this entire project seems out of sort. My team knows how to do this. But we have no idea what we are talking about. Almost all information we are getting isn't even relative to what my team is doing. Hopefully this last week before Christmas break won't end bad.

Weekly blog

Last week was normal i guess. Finding out that we have to play our skit in front of Sophomores is a little "What the heck?" to me. Not only knowing we also have to do a 3D model for it. Which the skit is already a little hectic.

weekly blog

Ok last week was eh. Studied a lot more than I usually do for a quiz or a test. Yet i still bombed the Social Studies quiz (the 2nd time). So after I'm done with this blog I get to do some notes to make up the fact i bombed the quiz -_-". Last week we also had a project due and i hope my group did good. Our presentations was a little lopsided but i hope it doesn't matter. Well time to study for the quiz tomorrow, take some notes, and do that Social Studies project thing (I forgot the name)

Last week was pretty good. Drew and I did good on our project in front of teachers and other people Representing the school. Still have a little to do though. Finish the portrait, wrap up the commercial, start thinking how being a musician relates to English, Science, and Social Studies. Now time to do my 2 achieves.

Weekly blog

Last week was somewhat confusing. Being assigned to something that is being presented in front of the Principals and other teachers is a little hard to grasp when you dont know what you are doing. But soon enough at the Apple Store my partner and I (Drew) got a better understanding of what this project is about and what it is aiming for.

Product Testing

Graphs and References.

Jacob and I have "which one has better Quality? SkullCandy or Altec Lansing?"

Weekly post

Last Week was pretty hard work. Realizing that 5 days of work can go extremely fast and problems can occur along its way. Like Google Docs. With it being down pretty much all of the week, it slowed my team down. At the same time it utilized our other resources. So it made us a little less dependent on Google Docs.

Weekly Blog

Last week was pretty interesting. With all the fuss of homecoming going on the academy gave us the most wonderous project we have yet to do. With comparing 2 different products we are finding which one is more suitable towards the objective. My group (Jacob Beres and I) are comparing 2 docking stations for ipods. Which one has more clarity and better frequency? Between those 2 we still dont know many facts on the Altec Lancing docking station (there are literally no facts or any whereabouts of it on the Altec Lancing site). It'll be challenging this week to accomplish testing, writing a full hypothesis, and concluding it with a commercial

Whats best for the Academy? [Manne]

I believe that the laptop is still more suitable for the learning academy. Between the netbooks and the ipads the laptop has a better memory capability, even though the more memory the higher the price the laptop can run more than run program at a time as the ipad and netbook cannot. The netbook is slower than any of other in the article and the ipad runs faster than the netbook and the laptop is faster than all of them. (with the right stuff installed) Laptops will utilize what we are doing in this clase so i conclude that a laptop is better than all of the other choices due to its statistics being better than the other choices. ( i did this and accidently posted as a new blog one week ago)

Science Sig Fig

Today i learned that the small decimals in measurements count for a major portion in measurements for science. Each decimal counts as a Sig Fig. Another decimal also is more precise on the measurement. The number outside of the decimal is more of the accuracy of the measurement.

AHS Room designing and Ropes coarse Petes Blog

What I've learned from room designing is that no matter how much experience you have to a certain topic or creation, you always need teamwork, and collaboration. Without it be a lot harder to complete your goal or project. You can not accomplish one thing without consulting the entire group whether that thing would be a pro to the project or a con. Designing this room gave me a good grip and impression of what I'm going to learn this year.

What i learned in the ropes course was very new to me. Using yourself not as a disadvantage but as an advantage. Like on the balance board. Using the heaviest to the advantage, or the name game, were knowing are friends and acquaintances was an advantage. Without it my team would have been doing 20 push-ups. Going up on the ropes 30 or 40 feet in the air was amazing. It was scary at first but in the end when you had to let go of the rope, right there you had to trust your team to let you down to the ground. It was an amazing experience and it was beneficial to all of the Academy.
